After several years of COVID-19 lockdowns and border closures, my family and I finally made it to Warmun (WA) for my first PhD fieldtrip. This trip was partly funded by an ALS Gerhardt Laves Scholarship. After recording some intergenerational conversation at Violet Valley with Joe Blythe, I continued to work closely with language consultants and recorded some learning materials for community members.
